Studio // Open Plan as an addition to an existing family home

Flexible + multi-purpose, a wellness hideaway in the garden.

Tucked to the side of an existing family home, the Homeful Studio sits calmly while working hard to accommodate a very dynamic brief.

This studio is a space for so many wonderful activities; wellness leadership consulting, wellness + self-care workshops including reiki, massage, meditation + healthy cooking.

This extension is connected to the living + dining zone of the existing home via a storage area lined with colourful cook books, preserved + pickled fruit + veggies from the garden.

Our Homeful Studio’s open plan layout provides a nimble template for living.

While the Studio can be a place for work, it can also be a fully self-contained zone with just enough separation from the main home for long term guests.

Within the Studios 38m2 internal footprint there is a small, yet functional kitchen, a sunny window seat, space for a queen bed + a full bathroom.

The subtle building form is warm externally with bushfire compliant spotted gum cladding, while the interior spaces are fresh with white + timber finishes paired with black features + honey hued plywood. With aesthetic connections to the renovation upgrades in the existing family home.

A Homeful addition as a holistic renovation, truly works a treat!

The living deck provides a space for the outdoor preparation of veggies from the garden, while you wait for the timber bath to fill or the sauna to heat up.

The Studio offers an opportunity for more of our living + everyday routines to be fulfilled outdoors, with the comfort of shelter. A true treat when so much of our lives can easily revolve around being inside, away from fresh air, bird song + the scent of rainfall.

With the added amenity of a custom car port, this little Studio addition really provides a low-impact, high quality solution, enabling the opportunity for a balanced lifestyle full of what matters to its inhabitants.
